Ninth Circuit Upholds Critical Habitat Designation for 15 Vernal Pool Species Listed under the Endangered Species Act

The Ninth Circuit has affirmed a District Court’s decision upholding the U.S. Fish and Service’s (FWS) designation of about 850,000 acres of land in northern California and southern Oregon as critical habitat for fifteen endangered or threatened vernal pool species.
