Delisting California Brown Pelican Is Landmark Species Recovery
On February 5, 2009, the California Fish and Game Commission (Commission) voted unanimously to remove the California brown pelican from the state list of endangered species. The Commission action was the first time that the Commission has voted to delist a species based upon recovery.
