Fifth District Court Reaffirms Attorney’s Fee Recovery for Violation of Brown Act and Public Records Act
Galbiso v. Orosi Public Utility District, ___Cal.App.4th___
On October 23, in Galbiso v. Orosi Public Utility Dist., the California Court of Appeal, Fifth Appellate District held that the trial court’s denial of attorney’s fees under the Brown Act was based on an erroneous finding of no violation of the act. The court further noted that the trial court abused its discretion in its failure to award attorney’s fees under Public Records Act.
