State Water Resources Control Board Proposes Revoking Auburn Dam Water Rights
On October 23, 2008, the State Water Resources Control Board (State Board) issued a draft order that, if finalized, would revoke the water rights connected with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation’s proposal to construct the Auburn Dam on the American River. Draft Order WR 2008 – 00XX. If the Sate Board ultimately adopts the draft order, the decision would constitute another obstacle for realization of the longdisputed Auburn Dam proposal.
