California Legislature Takes Action to Codify Low Carbon Fuel Standard
On June 16, the California Assembly Transportation Committee approved California Senate Bill 1240 (Kehoe, D–San Diego), which would legislatively adopt the nation’s first low carbon fuel standard (LCFS). The bill will next be heard in the Assembly Natural Resources Committee and the Assembly Appropriations Committee before consideration by the full house. The bill has already passed the state senate.
