Colorado Water Conservation Board Considers Amendments to its Rules forInstream Flow and Natural Lake Level Program
The Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) is in the process of amending its rules implementing the Colorado Instream Flow and Natural Lake Level Program (ISF Program). The ISF Program gives the CWCB the right to appropriate and acquire waters of natural streams and lakes as necessary to preserve and improve minimum stream flows for rivers and streams and minimum water levels for natural lakes. The proposed amendments to the rules governing the ISF Program will significantly clarify, and in some cases change, the manner in which the CWCB operates the ISF Program.
