State Water Resources Control Board Proposes to Revoke Water Right Permits for Auburn Dam

The State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) will hold a hearing on its proposed revocation of the water rights licenses for the Auburn-Folsom South Unit of the Central Valley Project (Auburn Dam). The SWRCB has proposed the revocation based on the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation’s (Bureau) alleged failure to diligently prosecute the construction of the project and its alleged failure to put the water to beneficial use.
