  • California Department of Water Resources Initiates Environmental Review for Bay Delta Conservation Plan

On March 17, 2008, the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) provided notice that it is commencing the public process for reviewing the environmental impacts of the Bay Delta Conservation Plan. DWR will hold a series of public scoping meetings through May 2008, following which DWR will begin preparation of an environmental impact report/environmental impact statement (EIR/EIS) pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). DWR anticipates release of a Draft EIR/EIS for public review in late 2009.
