    U.S. v. Alghazouli

    The Ninth Circuit upheld the District Court’s guilty verdict against an individual who, along with his two brothers, was arrested and convicted for activities involving the sale of R-12 freon unlawfully imported from Mexico. The conviction was for a violation of customs law, 18 U.S.C. § 545, and was premised on the defendant’s violation of regulations pursuant to the federal Clean Air Act (CAA).
