    California Water Service Company v. the Dough Chemical Company, et al.

    On March 7, 2008, the California Water Service Company (Cal Water) and the City of Bakersfield (Bakersfield) filed a complaint in the San Mateo County Superior Court against a number of chemical manufacturers, distributors, owners and operators. The complaint alleges that the defendants in some manner were responsible for the presence of 1,2,3-trichloropropane (TCP) in Bakersfield’s drinking water wells and water supply.
