The following provides an overview and update regarding ongoing state and federal court litigation concerning the federal Central Valley Project (CVP) and California’s State Water Project (SWP), and whether Project operations are being carried out in compliance with the federal Endangered Species Act (ESA) and the California Endangered Species Act (CESA).
