On February 2, 2007, the Nevada State Engineer (State Engineer), ruled upon the Lincoln County Water District’s (LCWD) and Vidler Water Company’s (Vidler) applications for an appropriation of up to 17,380 acre-feet annually (AFA) to ultimately be used by Coyote Springs Investment (CSI) for a large-scale master-planned community 60 miles north of Las Vegas. The State Engineer granted the request, but only for 1,000 AFA.
