District Court in California Rules Revised Natomas Basin Habitat Conservation Plan Satisfies the Endangered Species Act

On September 8, 2005, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California held that the Secretary of the Interior (Secretary) did not violate the Endangered Species Act (16 U.S.C. § 1531, et seq.) (ESA) in approving the revised Natomas Basin Habitat Conservation Plan (NBHCP) and in issuing incidental take permits (ITPs) to the City of Sacramento (Sacramento) and Sutter County (Sutter).
