Water Diversions, Water Rights Selective Subordination Issues in Water Court Litigation Move to the Colorado Supreme Court
In Re: Application for Water Rights of the Ground Water Management Subdistrict of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District
In late 2002, the Ground Water Management Subdistrict of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District (Central) filed an application in the Division 1 Water Court requesting approval of a plan for augmentation to allow pumping of approximately 1,000 wells by replacing depletions to the South Platte River. Several parties opposed the application, including the Colorado State and Division Engineers.
