U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Considers Excluding Developing Areas from Vernal Pool Species Critical Habitat Based upon Draft Economic Impact Analysis

In its June 27, 2005, public notice releasing the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s (FWS) draft report on the economic impacts of Critical Habitat Designation for Vernal Pool Species for public comment, the FWS advises that it is considering excluding from critical habitat the areas that represent 80 percent of the costs of the designation.
