Third District Court of Appeal Holds that Environmental Impact Reports Not Necessary for Two Water Assignments to the City of Tracy

In an important decision clarifying the role of environmental review in critical water supply projects, the Third Appellate District held that two water districts fully complied with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and conducted an appropriate level of environmental review when they separately prepared negative declarations for two individual water assignments undertaken to address an existing shortfall in the water supplies of the City of Tracy.
