National Conservation Groups File Petition for Water Rights System Reform
On October 27, 2004 Trout Unlimited (TU) and the Peregrine Audubon Society (Peregrine), a chapter of the National Audubon Society representing interior Mendocino County, filed the Central Coast Water Rights Petition (Petition) with the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB), the California Department of Fish and Game (DFG), State Lands Commission, and the counties of Marin, Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino, and Humboldt, requesting that California establishes guidelines and implements A.B. 2121, as signed by Governor Schwarzenegger on September 30, 2004.
