California Court of Appeal Upholds Asbestos Emissions Standards
Coalition for Reasonable Regulation of Naturally Occurring Substances v. California Air Resources Board, ___Cal.App.4th___
Those traveling on rural Northern California’s unpaved roads have new assurances that their driving will not lead to a trip to the hospital. In Coalition for Reasonable Regulation of Naturally Occurring Substances v. California Air Resources Board, the California Court of Appeals upheld a 2000 California Air Resources Board regulation that reduced the permissible level of asbestos in rocks sold or supplied for surfacing unpaved roads from 5.0 percent to 0.25 percent.
