Emerging Contaminants—Part II
Part II of this two-part series continues with information on four emerging environmental contaminants that are or are becoming of paramount importance. The purpose of these articles is to provide a general understanding of their physical and chemical properties. Part I shared information regarding the following four emerging contaminants; 1, 4-dioxane, N-nitrosodimethylamine, 1, 2, 3-tricholoropropane, and perchlorate. Part II continues this discussion with information regarding polybrominated diphenyl ethers–(PBDE), alkylphenols etoxylates, methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) and 1, 2-dichloroethane (1, 2 –DCA).
