TEXAS: Enforcement of Water Quality Regulation and Penalties
Texas, with its expansive size and environmental diversity, is home to a full range of water quality issues. Increasing urbanization in the state has led to significant problems flowing form runoff and point source pollution. In the rural areas of the state, stream contamination from agricultural runoff and excess nutrient loadings threatens the health of waterways.
