Freeport Regional Water Project Dispute Resolved
State Water Contractors, et al. v. East Bay Muni. Water Dist.; Kern County Water Agency et al., v. U.S. Dept. of Interior, et al.,
The East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD), other federal water contractors, and the State Water Contractors (collectively, contractors) have settled state and federal lawsuits brought under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) challenging EBMUD’s amendatory supplemental water supply contract (amendatory contract) with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation (Bureau).
