On January 7, 2004, the Second District Court of Appeal reversed a trial court decision granting the City of Pasadena’s demurrer to a complaint filed by plaintiff Pasadena Live, LLC., an event producer, for breach of contract and the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing because the city refused to consider production proposals from the company.
