Governor Davis Approves Bill Granting Regional Water Quality Control Boards Veto Power over Approval of Timber Harvesting Plans
On October 12, 2003, outgoing Governor Gray Davis approved Senate Bill 810 which amends sections of the Public Resource Code to empower the state’s nine regional water quality control boards (RWQCBs) with the authority to veto a logging company’s timber harvesting plan.
