Third District Court of Appeal Upholds California Air Resources Board’s Efforts to Reduce Burning of Rice Straw in the Sacramento Valley
On August 13, 2003, the Third District Court of Appeal upheld a plan and report prepared by the California Air Resources Board (ARB) and the California Department of Food and Agriculture (DFA) to reduce the amount of rice straw burned in the Sacramento Valley Air Basin and challenged by rice-grower plaintiffs.
