The Navajo Nation has recently filed a suit against the United States Department of the Interior (DOI) in the United States District Court for the District of Arizona, alleging that the DOI has breached its trust responsibility to the Navajo Nation by failing to quantify and protect the Navajo interest in the waters of the Lower Colorado River basin.
