Imperial Irrigation District Water Transfer Scheduled to Be Finalized before December 31, 2002 Deadline
Stepped up negotiations in the last few months led by Speaker Emeritus Robert Hertzberg with assistance from Assemblyman Dennis Hollingsworth, between the San Diego County Water Authority (SDCWA), Imperial Irrigation District (IID), Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD), and Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD) have resulted in the October 15, 2002 landmark agricultureto-urban water transfer agreement.
