Delta Wetlands Project Sues San Joaquin County
Delta Wetlands Props. v. County of San Joaquin
The plan by Delta Wetlands to turn two Delta islands into water reservoirs came up against a new hurdle when San Joaquin County threatened to regulate the project. Now, in addition to an already-filed lawsuit by a nearby water district challenging the final decision of the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) to issue permits for the project, the project has sued San Joaquin County to determine the county's jurisdiction over the project.
